Psychiatric Hospital Power Plant

Constructed in the early 1930s, this architectural marvel of a coal power plant was designed to fuel the energy demands of the nearby psychiatric hospital, which once housed 12,5000 patients and around 16,000 in its peak patient population. Today the power plant sits rusting away, with no plan in sight for renovations or development.
